Jo Henry leads the Nielsen Book consumer insight service, which monitors the UK and US book markets through Books & Consumers, the premier resource for understanding book consumers and their buying behaviour, as well as undertaking ad hoc research projects for a wide range of clients.
Jo Henry started in publishing at Victor Gollancz, becoming Sales Director in 1989. In 1993 she joined HEA’s Publishing Division as Head of Sales & Marketing and then moved to Book Marketing Ltd. as MD in 1995. Following the acquisition of BML she became MD of the PN Group. In 2012, BML was acquired and merged with the US Consumer Insight Division to become Bowker Market Research. In September 2013, Nielsen Book acquired Bowker’s Business Intelligence and Commerce Solutions Division, including Bowker Market Research.
